The traditional pouring material will be re-crack in a short time due to itself low temperature brittleness, high temperature stability, easy to aging and other defects.<br />

<br />
Melting and application<br />
The key point is temperature control when Roadphalt crack and joint sealants are melting and heating. In order to ensure that the product temperature can be maintained within the range of perfusion, the hot melt kettle must be equipped with efficient stirring and temperature monitoring devices.<br />
Heat transfer oil in the heating product temperature should not exceed 230degree. Thermal fluid heating process the product temperature controlled at a temperature higher than the product 10 degree.<br />
When melted in a small direct fired melters, in order to ensure that the product will not be heated excessively, the product should be strictly monitored temperature and stirred. If over-heating, the temperature reached or exceeded 210 degree, the product will decompose carbonation and then affect the performance of the product.<br />

cumulative heating time <br />
In the hot melt kettle , cumulative heating time can’t be more 15 hours. <br />
We can add new crack and joint sealants to extend cumulative heating time when it reduced in the hot melt kettle.<br />
Product should be agitated while being applied.<br />
When the product is heated exceed cumulative heating time, it becomes viscous material, aging, hardened lumps. If it occurs, the product can’t be used.<br />
In direct fired melters ,the products are used quickly (within 3 hours )and all heated product should be used when melted. If the Condensation occurred , reheating makes lower performance .<br />

Pavement Temperature<br />
Pavement temperature should be above 4 degree when use products. If the temperature is below 4 degree ,needs pre-heating by heating equipment.<br />
Note : the cracks need keeping dry ,no ice and other impurities .<br />

Inspection and approval<br />
Prepare construction→Closed construction zone→Grooving→Cleanup slot→Preheat→Pouring→Maintenance→Clean up the site<br />
Construction steps:<br />
1. Preparation<br />
(1) determine the slot size<br />
The slot size is based on the local pavement temperature and the road grade. Generally ,the width don’t exceed 38mm, depth of the groove should not exceed 25mm. The both sides of grooving should remove at least 3mm and should produce vertical, intact surfaces with no loosely bonded aggregate.<br />
(2) calculate the amount of material<br />
According to the empirical formula, can use following formula :<br />
Estimation method: width (cm) * depth (cm) * Length (m) * 0.12 (kg)<br />
E.g. a slot pavement : 2cm(width) *2cm(depth)*10m(length ), then crack and joint sealants amount is: 2 *2 *10 * 0.12 = 4.8 kg<br />
2, Grooving <br />

3, Clearing <br />
For appropriate adhesion , cracks must be cleaned and dried before pouring. After grooving or cleaning impurities, and then use high pressure ,oil free ,dry compressed air at 90psi (620kpa )minimum ,to remove any remaining dust .<br />
4, Preheating<br />
It must preheat groove when the temperature is below 4 degree。What we done just ensure the temperature above 10 degree.<br />
5, Pouring<br />
Putting the crack and joint sealants into groove when the temperature reaches 185℃. It needs pouring several times until the cracks filled .<br />
6, maintenance <br />
Clearing the site after the Crack and Joint Sealants Sufficient cooling(about 15-25min).<br />
It must be sprayed a layer of sand or powder If you need to open the traffic immediately.<br />

Common questions <br />
1, What’s different from conventional pouring?<br />
The conventional pouring materials use general asphalt or emulsified asphalt. However, Roadphalt is a kind of rubber asphalt which was added the special modifier, it has better adhesion, flexibility, low temperature resistance, anti-aging and other characteristics.<br />
2, How to choose the pouring season ?<br />
Any cracks in the road surface will cause water intrusion road base, the bigger the cracks, the longer the time, the water more easily penetrate and further damage the roadbed, therefore, the initial cracks in the pavement, it’s timely pouring. <br />
3, Why the spalling will appear ?<br />
There are three main reasons.<br />
First ,the cracks are wet or dirty.<br />
Second ,the cracks without slot treatment.<br />
Third ,bad construction condition, e.g. rain, low temperature .<br />
4, whether it can be applied in cold climate?<br />
Yes. Construction within cold climate, it’s better to use hot-air spray gun to preheat the cracks .you should follow the product construction guide strictly .<br />
5, why should we groove before pouring ?<br />
Slotted through cracks, cracks can be cleared at the surface is oxidized to form a complete vertical groove surface, its ease of pouring plastic bonding. Meanwhile, the tank can provide sufficient space for the volume of plastic crack and joint sealants, improve tensile capacity crack and joint sealants. This can prolong the life of Crack and Joint Sealants.<br />
● Notes<br />
1, Keeping the construction environment aeration-drying and paste face clean. Don’t use it in the rain and snow weather .<br />
2.If it spills on your skin or clothing accidentally ,use acetone and flow of water to cleaning. If you accidentally eat or splashed into the eyes, immediately seek medical treatment.<br />
3, Construction temperature should be reached 185 degree, but can’t exceed 210 degree.<br />
4, The slot size should meet the minimum design requirements( width ≥ 12mm, depth ≥ 12mm).<br />
5,Construction temperature should be maintained above 4 degree. Otherwise, it should be preheated.<br />
● Transportation and storage<br />
1, this product is non-toxic, non-hazardous, according to general chemical building materials to transport. <br />
2, In transportation, no exposure , rain ,inversion and packaging damage .<br />
3.The product is black solid at room temperature, use paper carton to packaging .The net weight is 15kg per carton.<br />
4. This product is sealed stored dry at room temperature, the shelf life is three years<br />
